High Sheriff Youth Awards

Foundation Trustee Peter Lee came to the end of his busy year as High Sheriff of Surrey in March 2015. Peter says, ”My year as High Sheriff allowed me to meet some inspiring individuals and certainly convinced me that Surrey can be proud of its voluntary sector. If I have been able to use this largely ceremonial role to attract a little attention to worthwhile local causes, then so much the better”. Peter continues to be a Trustee of the High Sheriff Youth Awards, which received a grant of £15,000 over three years from the Foundation starting at the beginning of 2014, but gave out over £40,000 to some 27 local organisations over the course of the year. www.surreyhighsheriff.org
